Rustom is a Bollywood movie, released on 6 September 2016. The film is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai and produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films. The film released on 6 September 2016.Release Date : 20 July 2018 A coming of age tale, the film follows the life of young Arjun (Akshay Kumar) and his brother-in-law, Captain Vikram (Kay Kay Menon). The family is like any other Indian family in 1950s and they all take part in sports and regular family affairs. They also attend a Christian church for regular worship. However, when it comes to Arjun's father's job, he is assigned to serve under Major Shinde Lal (Paresh Rawal), serving in Kashmir for 5 years after his performance in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1947. In the beginning, Arjun thinks that it's a good opportunity for him to get a chance to serve his country and want to go there. However, this decision did not sit well with his wife, Tara (Ileana D'Cruz) and she requests her father that he must allow her to join him in Kashmir. When Captain Vikram hears that Tara wants to join him in Kashmir, he becomes infuriated because this might prevent her from competition in the upcoming Athletic Meet at Pune for which she is training hard. He scolds Arjun for asking Tara's father for permission. However, Tara's father later gives his consent for her to join Arjun. And so the family moves to Kashmir where they all start their new life there. The two children are enrolled in a school while Arjun is made the Subedar of his unit. They also have a new cook who is a Sikh man named Sardar Khan (Jimmy Sheirgill). Arjun and Tara adjust well to their new life in Kashmir and enjoy a close bond with their neighbors, some of whom they meet every morning at the church for prayers.
